Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes acquires New Zealand importer

Sassenheim, the Netherlands, 12th November 2007 - Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes has strengthened the global presence of its Car Refinishes business with its acquisition of Color Spec Paints Ltd on the 1st of October 2007.

 

Established nearly 20 years ago, Dunedin-based Color Spec Paints Ltd has been the sole importer of Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes products in New Zealand and has established a strong presence for Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes brands.

 

The deal involves the entire Color Spec business, including the transfer of all employees. As part of the acquisition, Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes also takes over Color Spec’s current branches which are located at strategic sites in New Zealand on both the North Island and the South Island.
